At Gentle Pilates our focus is to create and facilitate an individual Pilates program tailored for each client’s health goals and specific needs. We take a therapeutic approach to the issues of chronic muscular tension, myofascial pain & stiffness while working with a wide range of conditions including fibromyalgia, breast cancer, osteoporosis and more.
Private Pilates sessions are held in our well-equipped Pilates studio located in Novi, MI (metro Detroit area.) Pilates classes are held at different locations including Northville and Birmingham. Please refer to our Pilates Classes page for a complete list of locations and current sessions.
The fundamentals of Pilates offer a terrific platform for strengthening bones and preventing fractures. Gentle Pilates in Novi MI integrates Pilates, strength training and rehabilitative exercises to improve the health and longevity of your bones and joints.
Our Program encompasses all aspects of Pilates, from mat, to reformer, to BioCored. Research has shown that Pilates helps to reduce stress and anxiety, and regain strength and mobility to the areas most affected by surgery, radiation, and reconstruction.
There are many reasons why people develop Fibromyalgia, but no one really knows. But we do know physical exercise is key to controlling one’s pain. Pilates is a practice of moving, breathing, becoming stronger and more mobile!
Dr. Ostalecki is the foremost developer of Pilates programs for individuals with fibromyalgia, and breast cancer. Because of her extensive broad background, she is able to bring a creative approach to Pilates that better benefits the individual person.
Restorative Pilates takes a therapeutic approach to the issues of chronic muscular tension, myofascial pain and stiffness. Our program gives the person finishing physical therapy after breast cancer or fibromyalgia tools to continue their recovery and maintain positive movement.

Fracture Risk Calculation
Gentle Pilates will be offering a screening tool for adults 45 and older. Using the FORE Fracture Risk Calculator™, we capture factors such as age, weight, fracture history, medications and medical conditions and generate a graph that shows the your risk of breaking a bone in the next 10 years.
Dr. Ostalecki takes that information and discuss steps for better bone health, including nutrition; strength, balance and posture exercises; fall prevention strategies; further diagnosis; or medical treatments, if necessary. All appointment are Contact us to set up an appointment.
Pilate Mat classes
New classes start the week of Monday September 18th.
Monday: Gentle Pilates Mat Class- 5:30-6:30 PM
Wednesday: Buff Bones Mat Class 12:30-1:30 PM. This is a great class for those wanting to improve their bone density and create stronger bones. A great class!
The fee for the class is: $20 or 6 for $100.
